The radio room

The 'shack' is what radio amateurs call the room where all their radio gear is kept.
Americans call us 'hams', originally a derogratory term because early morse code operators were 'ham fisted' but now exclusively used in America and its tributaries.
Member nations of the old British empire still call us 'amateur radio operators".

The other half of the shack, the switch that drives everything.

The main HF rig an Icom IC7200
A robust radio who's only fault is that it doesn't have 6 meter FM.

The DMR/FM rig, an Anytone 578
An excellent radio that does DMR and FM 2mx and 70cm.

The secondary HF rig a Xeigu G90
Another excellent radio that has a large and loyal following.

The 10 meter and 6 meter beams
This was a monster Werner Wolf 20 mx beam once. I cut it down to 10 Mx beam.
Above it is a 6 Mx beam.

Amateur Packet Reporting System (APRS).
APRS is an amateur radio system of tracking anything and placing it on a map.
I run a simple 'Direwolf' receiving node.
The map radio amateurs use for tracking their gear.
The Direwolf site.
